Captain Birds Eye Chicken and Vegetable Patties, produced by Simplot, is a finalist in the FOOD Magazine Challenge Awards.
The patties are a combination of quality chicken breast pieces and selected vegetables that are coated in a light and crispy crumb.
They contain no added preservatives, artificial colours or flavours and have gained the Heart Foundation’s Tick.
The mixing process was specifically designed to enable identifiable chicken chunks in the final product and frozen vegetables are incorporated into the chicken mix with minimal mixing to ensure the piece size integrity is maintained.
The coating on the final product is strictly monitored during manufacture to ensure that the minimum 30% chicken content, which is required to meet the ‘Tick’, is achieved.
