Food processing technology companies merge

Cedar Creek and Sastek will merge in the hope of growing their local and overseas software and hardware business.

The merger will see a new leading technology company for the meat processing sector.
The merger will see a new leading technology company for the meat processing sector.
According to the companies, the merged entity will be a leading technology company for the meat processing, fresh produce and processed food sectors in Australia and New Zealand. It will be operating under the Cedar Creek name, but will build on both companies’ brands.

The company will provide software and hardware systems, labelling solutions and services to clients, and the two companies’ products, sectors and markets will compliment each other.

Solutions to be provided by the resulting company include software systems allowing traceability, yield control and production performance monitoring, and hardware systems for high speed product flow management and real-time data capture.

The companies say the merger will provide economies of scale to enable growth in business and product offerings in both the local and export marketplace.
