Gotta be in it to win it

In a competitive global food and beverage market, creating new and innovative products requires a lot of time, effort and ingenuity.

Therefore, acknowledging and encouraging innovation and ‘best practice’ in food and drink processing is of prime importance.

The FOOD Magazine Challenge Awards, now in its third year, recognises exciting and innovative products across the food and beverage industries in Australasia.

As Australia’s premier food and beverage trade awards, it is a prestigious awards program that gives processors and manufacturers, regardless of size, an opportunity to showcase their latest products that include innovative ingredients, manufacturing processes or design.

Categories for the Awards range from dairy, confectionary and snack foods to meat and smallgoods, and alcoholic beverages, giving manufactures the chance to put their best products forward.

Nominations in each category will be judged on their own merits by a panel of external judges including academics and industry officials.

Finalists will be announced in the June issue of FOOD Magazine.

Sponsored by industry leaders such as Amcor, flavour makers, Danisco and Insignia, the FOOD Challenge Awards are well recognised and supported within the industry and provide finalists and winners with the opportunity for greater brand exposure.

A gala event where winners will accept their awards, held in July, will provide a unique occasion for networking with industry high-flyers, potential suppliers and the media.

Nominating a product for an award is simple and requires entrants to complete a form, detailing various aspects of their product, by May 1.
