Robots are finding a niche in the foodstuffs and the beverages industry where they can tend packaging machines and palletise cans, crates or displays.

The KUKA robot from Marand Precision Engineering.
In addition to these purely handling-related tasks, they can also perform intelligent functions, such as quality control using scanners and camera systems.

According to Marand Precision Engineering, industrial robots are flexible and work with great precision. They relieve humans of monotonous and physically demanding chores and shift work or overtime is never an issue.

KUKA robots can be floor, wall or ceiling mounted and the product spectrum covers payloads from 5kg to 1000kg.

KUKA’s range includes palletising experts, deep-freeze specialists and covers a host of wet room applications.

For example the KR 15 SL stainless steel robot is ideal for automation in areas such as meat, cheese and milk production.

Icy temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius don’t trouble the KR 180 PAArctic palletising robot as it was specifically developed for work in frosty conditions.

This expert in the deep-freeze can work without being fitted with a special freezer technology attire.

KUKA Robots & CAMRob are available in Australia through Marand Precision Engineering.
