5 free events to grow food packaging knowledge

free events

In partnership with Informa Markets, the Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) delivered free events to grow food packaging knowledge during the 2025 edition of ProPak Asia.

Visitors to ProPak Asia had the chance to hear from 33 experts from the global packaging industry, who shared their insights across five free events held over three days.

The free events included:

  • 7th edition Global Packaging Forum

This forum brought together international and regional experts to explore key topics such as sustainable food waste systems and alternatives to plastic in packaging.

  • AIP Mini Training Courses

The AIP ran two mini training courses during the event.

The first course focused on helping companies develop new packaging processes to reduce their environmental impact.
The second covered various aspects of packaging and supply chain technology, particularly around corrugated packaging solutions and how to avoid costly errors.

  • AIP Workshops

In two interactive workshops, industry experts discussed the future of paper, fibre and corrugated packaging, renewable materials, and labelling solutions.

The sessions explored packaging certifications, environmental impacts of materials, and global perspectives on what a circular economy for plastics truly entails.

In addition to the events, the AIP showcased the 2025 Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) award-winning packs.

All five educational events were internationally recognised and approved for Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) points. Attendees were also eligible to request a Certificate of Attendance.

The events were held from 11-14 June in Bangkok, Thailand, to grow food packaging knowledge
