Weak glass and contamination fears have caused brewer Little Creatures to voluntarily recall some of its most popular beers.
The recall will see 5 500 cases of beer taken off the market for one of the world’s most successful microbrewers.
In a statement yesterday, Little World Beverages announced it has issued a recall on pint- sized bottles of Pale Ale, Bright Ale and Dreadnought Single Batch which carry best before dates of 7 July-5 August 2012 and 4 May 2012.
"The recall of the above products is a precautionary measure due to the potential for glass contamination from a batch of weakened glass bottles," the company said in the statement.
"No other Little Creatures products are affected," it said.
