Rediscover the joys of olive oil from Kakadu Plum Co.

Kakadu Plum Co.’s new 100% Australian cold pressed extra virgin olive oils, with two distinct native Australian flavours, have just been released to the market.

The two new flavours, Lemon Myrtle and Native Tasmanian Pepper, were inspired by Kakadu Plum Co.’s long-time collaboration with Indigenous Australians, as a social enterprise that celebrates Indigenous culture and traditional Australian bush foods.

While they are not an Aboriginal-owned business, Kakadu Plum Co. work directly with Traditional Owners and Indigenous Australians who wild harvest many of the natural bush foods and ingredients, including Lemon Myrtle and Tasmanian Native Pepper.

Native Tasmanian pepper infused olive oils are known to reduce blood pressure, decrease cholesterol, and significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke as well as cognitive impairment and dementia.

They also assist with cholesterol, assist with inflammation and help joints.

The new 100 per cent Australian olive oils will hit shelves with an RRP of $17.95.

Kakadu Plum Co. Founder and Director Tahlia Mandie, who connected with country and community and was committed to share the Kakadu Plum, said the aim was to highlight the amazing foods that have been growing on this land for thousands of years.

“To be connected to Traditional Owners and communities is an incredible honour,” said Tahlia.

The hero ingredient in so many of the Kakadu Plum Co. products are 100 per cent wild grown Kakadu Plums which are picked, dried and milled into Kakadu Plum Powder.

Kakadu Plum Co. also works with other Indigenous communities and enterprises by showcasing their products and supporting local bush food growers and farmers.
