Albright & Wilson has partnered with Vedeqsa to introduce Mirenat, a natural preservative to the Australian food industry.
According to Albright & Wilson, the compound consists of active LAE in either liquid or solid formulations and it is suitable for use in meats, poultry, seafood, cheeses, salads, toppings and ready-to-eat dishes.
The main feature of the Mirenat series is its wide bacteriostatic activity. The natural preservative can be used to fight against positive bacteria, gram negative bacteria, mould and yeasts.
LAE is a product that is rapidly metabolised in the digestive tract hydrolysing into natural compounds found in the human diet.
It also is resistant to all heat processes used in the food industry and shows chemical stability between pH two to seven.
