Allied Pinnacle has received national recognition for its high fibre flour brand, Wise Wheat, with a win at the 2026 Healthy Food Guide School Lunchbox Awards.
The Healthy Food Guide School Lunchbox Awards recognise supermarket products that aim to make it easier for families to pack nutritious lunches for children, with winners selected by a panel of nutrition experts.
The award recognises Woolworths Wise Wheat Hi Fibre Seed and Grain Rolls as a winner in the Breads and Alternatives category, cited for their nutritional profile and suitability for school lunchboxes. With more than half of Australian children not meeting recommended dietary fibre intake, Wise Wheat aims to provide a way to increase fibre in everyday meals.
“Being recognised in the Healthy Food Guide School Lunchbox Awards is particularly meaningful, as it highlights the role Wise Wheat can play in supporting healthier eating habits for children,” said Allied Pinnacle chief executive officer David Pitt.
“We’re proud to partner with Woolworths to offer fibre-rich bakery products that parents can feel confident including in their kids’ lunchboxes. After all, kids are the most discerning taste testers.”
“Wise Wheat Seed & Grain Rolls provide an easy way for families to boost fibre intake without sacrificing taste or convenience,” said Woolworths merchandise manager bakery Donald Keith.
“We’re delighted to see these products recognised for delivering on both nutrition and enjoyment, especially for school lunchboxes.”
Wise Wheat flour was developed through research and development by Australia’s national science agency CSIRO in partnership with Limagrain and GRDC, and bred by Australian Grain Technologies. According to the company, it yields six times the fibre of regular wheat flour without compromise on taste.
