APPMA annual scholarship applications now open

Submissions are now open for the 6th annual Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) scholarship program.

The program, which has been developed in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) includes the opportunity to complete a Diploma in Packaging Technology valued at over $9,000.

The Diploma is an internationally recognised Level 5 foundation degree qualification – specifically designed for packaging engineers – that prepares students to take responsibility for packaging operations at any level through the supply chain.

Chairman of the APPMA, Mark Dingley, says that the programs marks a fantastic opportunity for a packaging engineer to further their education within the industry.

“The APPMA has been offering this educational program now for six years and we have been very pleased with the calibre of winners; all of whom are busy completing their Diplomas as we speak,” said Dingley.

National President of the AIP, Ralph Moyle echoed Dingley’s comments, stating that the diploma provides invaluable skills to its graduates.

“The Diploma in Packaging Technology is an internationally recognised Degree that will provide exemplary skills to graduates and we commend the APPMA for their long-term commitment to educational growth within the packaging industry. We encourage all packaging engineers in Australia to apply.” said Moyle.
