Arrival of ‘Food Made Good Standard’ in Australia

arrival

The Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) has announced the arrival of its sustainability certification for the food and beverage sector.

With a network of over 7,000 restaurants, the SRA’s Food Made Good Standard is globally recognised for elevating sustainability practices across foodservice providers. It is awarded to restaurants and food and beverage businesses around the world that meet three main criteria: sourcing, society, and environment.

To mark the launch of the Food Made Good Standard, the SRA will partner with Innavi to host an event that will provide information about the certification. It will demonstrate key insights into how the arrival of the certification’s framework can benefit Australian businesses.

“We’re delighted to partner with Innavi to support the growth of the Food Made Good Standard in Australia,” said managing director of the SRA, Juliane Caillouette Noble.

“With deep sector expertise and a track record of improving the environmental impact of kitchen operations, Innavi is a great partner to build an on-the-ground network of Food Made Good kitchens across the country.”

The event highlights include:

  • Official launch of the Food Made Good Standard in Australia.
  • Industry speakers from SRA, End Food Waste Australia, Brae Restaurant and The Royal Mail.
  • Networking opportunities with sustainability and hospitality professionals.
  • Actionable strategies and resources for sustainable businesses.

Noble addressed the collaborative approach with organisations to globalise the food Made Good Standard.

“Local networks are so important in hospitality; collaborating with local organisations enables us to grow and scale the Food Made Good Standard internationally, with our partners providing essential on-the-ground insight and support,” she added.

“From Italy to Taiwan and Japan, we’re proud to work together with organisations that share our vision for an environmentally restorative and socially progressive hospitality sector.

“We’re excited to welcome Innavi into this global network of Food Made Good partners — and to keep growing the movement that’s transforming hospitality for the better.”

This event will take place on 6th May 2025 in Melbourne CBD.
