Premium spirits company, Diageo Australia, has announced several new appointments to its executive leadership team.
These appointments include the permanent appointment of Nicole Dennis to Commercial Director and the creation of a new executive leadership role Head of Premix Growth with Jodi McLeod appointed to the role.
Dennis has been in the Diageo business for 10 years and has held several key roles in the Australian commercial team across both on- and off-premise customer channels.
Most recently, Dennis was on secondment with Diageo’s South Korea and Japan businesses where she led commercial transformation for the last two years.
Since returning to the Australian business as acting Commercial Director three months ago, Dennis has already had an incredible impact, demonstrating outstanding commercial acumen, along with her commitment to our customers, to performance and to partnership.
Dennis was the standout candidate through a rigorous global recruitment process and brings to the role a deep understanding of the business and the Australian market landscape.
Diageo Australia is also establishing two Commercial Excellence teams, one focused on bottled spirits and the other focused exclusively on the premix/RTD format reflecting its strategic importance in the TBA market.
This new team, Premix Growth, will lead transformation, development and execution across strategy, production, and distribution, and will work closely in partnership with our brand teams to deliver the best marketing service.
McLeod will head the team, an experienced and high-performing marketer, who has overseen some of our most iconic brands in her 10 years with Diageo.
Both appointments are effective immediately.
From September, current Diageo Australia Finance Director Mark Harvie will move to a new role in the Diageo business and returning to the role will be Lisa McElduff.
McElduff was previously in the Diageo Australia business in several finance roles between 2004 – 2020.
Most recently McElduff was Finance Director for Diageo Great Britain, significantly contributing to that market’s impressive performance.
As part of her Diageo Australia remit, McElduff will bring her global leadership and strategic experience to managing director Dan Hamilton’s executive leadership team playing a critical role in shaping and executing the business’ long-term growth strategy.
