Allied Pinnacle, an Australian flour and bakery manufacturer, has announced the appointment of its first head of sustainability to advance the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy.
Bringing over a decade of experience in sustainability, environmental management and ESG reporting, Anthony Ogilvie will take on the new role to formalise sustainability strategies across the company’s operations and networks.
Ogilvie has worked with Mission Australia, Goodman Fielder, Transurban and McPherson’s. His practical and collaborative approach has been welcomed by the company.
“His expertise, values and global perspective align with our commitment to operating responsibly, engaging with our agricultural partners, and supporting a sustainable future for the food industry,” said CEO at Allied Pinnacle David Pitt.
“We bake the future from flour and have done so for over 100 years, and this appointment will allow us to continue to do that.”
As head of sustainability, Ogilvie will focus on integrating sustainability across customer and community partnerships while ensuring the company meets its obligations as a Group 1 reporting entity.
“Our responsibility is not only to nourish Australians today, but to help ensure the resilience and sustainability of our food systems tomorrow,” said Ogilvie.
“By working collaboratively with farmers, suppliers and our teams, we can act as one to build the foundations to manage climate risk and make a meaningful impact.”
