Poultry retailer Lenard’s has had to recall thousands of minced chicken products in WA after wood and metal contaminants were found in some products.
Food Standards Australia New Zealand released the alert yesterday for Lenard’s products sold between November 27 and 30, The West Australian reports.
Affected products, including sausages, patties, Thai chicken burgers and other products, were only sold in WA stores and regulators said the contaminated goods could cause injury to consumers.
Buyers have been warned not to eat the products and return them for a refund.
