Coal miner acquires food manufacturer

OGL Resources, a coal miner, has acquired food ingredient manufacturer The Primary Food Company.

Calling the move a “strategic acquisition”, OGL has bought the ingredient and alcohol maker for $80 000.

However, it gave no reasoning behind the dubbing of the acquisition as ‘strategic’.

It will look to expand PFC’s current operation, and construct a food ingredient and alcohol production plant, which uses waste products to produce alcohols.

Last year PFC announced it would be building a $300 million grain refinery near Tamworth, NSW.
