Coles plans roll-out of online groceries

Coles have started trialling a form of online shopping, where groceries can be ordered over the web and then collected from Coles Express petrol stations.

With 620 Coles petrol stations around Australia, the new scheme would turn these into a network of pick-up points for orders made online.

Reported in the Australian Financial Review, the programme has been trialled in recent weeks, with plan of taking the scheme nationwide.

Coles general manager for online Keith Louis told the paper, “I don’t want to overstate it as this is currently a small trial run, but we’re running it thanks to strong feedback from customers”.
