Coopers Brewery has secured a podium finish in the prestigious GABS Hottest 100, taking out second place overall in this year’s count.
Coopers Original Pale Ale came in at #2, up from 7th place in 2023, with Coopers’ best selling beer having enjoyed a meteoric rise up the charts in recent years.
Original Pale Ale was joined by three other Coopers beers in the top 100, announced at the annual Great Australasian Beer Spectapular over the weekend.
Coopers Sparkling Ale finished in 34th spot, with Coopers Australian Lager coming in at #67 and Coopers XPA at #70.
Voted by beer drinkers, the GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Beers of 2024 was the 17th edition of the countdown.
Coopers competed against nearly 400 breweries and 1,500 beers, with around 55,000 votes submitted by consumers across the country.
Coopers general manager Michael Shearer said the GABS results were a great outcome for the brewery.
“There’s a good reason Coopers Original Pale Ale is our best selling beer – it’s perfectly balanced, distinctive and simply tastes great,” he said.
“We know Australians love a good beer and it’s fantastic to see the strong support for Australian-made brews. There are a lot of beers available, but you know with Coopers you will consistently get to appreciate a quality beer at an affordable price.
“To those who voted for Coopers, thank you for getting behind us.”
