Cybake bakery software launches in Australia

Cybake

Cybake, a bakery management software specialist, has opened an office in Melbourne and is now available to commercial bakeries across Australia.

Originally founded 24 years ago in the UK, Cybake is used by retail and wholesale bakeries to manage everything from orders to invoicing, recipes, production, shop management, waste control, deliveries and more.

In the UK and Ireland, Cybake has become a baking industry standard, especially after the software switched to a fully cloud, monthly subscription model in 2018. It is also becoming increasingly popular with commercial bakeries in the USA – and can now be used in Australia for the first time.

Heading up Cybake Australia is business development manager, Josalyn Price. Price is an international hospitality sector veteran who has been laying the groundwork for Cybake Australia’s launch over the last year.

Speaking with commercial bakers around the country, I keep hearing a commonality; they are looking for a way to improve their systems as they grow because their current system isn’t working for them anymore,” she said. “I think the pandemic has highlighted the need for many businesses to move to cloud-based solutions where possible, and bakeries are no different.

“It’s exciting, as we’re in advanced talks with a number of bakeries already and will be announcing our first few Australian Cybake users shortly. I am positive that Cybake will help Australian bakeries of all sizes, from regional to city. It is a great system that helps scale a business, so bakery owners get to spend less time behind the computer and more time out with customers.”

There have been an increased number of enquiries about Cybake in Australia for a while, according to the software’s original creator, Cybake managing director Jane Tyler.

“These, along with our preparations over the last year, indicate a strong latent demand for up-to-the-minute and easy to use bakery management software,” Tyler said.

“Cybake is in this for the long-haul, so we have made sure that everything is set up just right. For example, Cybake is delivered via Microsoft’s Azure cloud service, and we’ve worked closely with the Azure team in Australia to ensure that everything works truly locally and with zero latency. I really can’t wait to get started.”
