J.L. Lennard Food Equipment has made its first sale to Domino’s Pizza in Australia of the internationally renowned XLT range of impinger ovens, with installations at Dominos Pizza outlets in two of the Gold Coast’s busiest tourist attractions.
The sales of double-stacked model 3240XLT ovens to high volume Dominos Pizza outlets at Wet N Wild and Seaworld will provide an ideal demonstration of their outstanding efficiency, says J.L. Lennard Food Equipment General Manager Mr Matthew Challinor.
“The Dominos Pizza installations completed by our Queensland team – headed by State Manager Malcolm Stirling — will show why XLT is renowned internationally for combining high performance baking with low maintenance and energy consumption,” he said.
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s Pizza) is the largest pizza chain in Australia in terms of both network store numbers and network sales.
It is also the largest franchisee for the Domino’s Pizza brand in the world, with Domino’s Pizza Enterprises now extending across five countries, with more than 782 stores employing approximately 16,000 people and making more than 60 million pizzas a year.
Domino’s Pizza internationally is already a strong supporter of the XLT brand, having awarded XLT manufacturer BOFI Vendor of the Year awards in recognition of its partnership and assisting in the mutual goal of 100 per cent customer satisfaction.
J.L. Lennard food equipment took over distribution of the brand throughout Australia last year, expanding access to and support for XLT’s top quality design evolved by a manufacturer committed to building the world’s best pizza ovens featuring simple and smart operation for fast cooking and easy cleaning with a wide variety of foods.
Malcolm Stirling said the first four ovens delivered for Dominos at Wet N Wild and Seaworld were quickly up and running, cooking perfectly at five minutes 15 seconds and meeting the high turnover requirements of the two sites.
“They were quickly running smoothly to meet demand during the school holidays, passing their first big test with flying colours producing thousands upon thousands of outstanding pizzas for their proud owners,” he said.
XLT’s heavy duty stainless steel ovens are built for easy installation and the longest life in the industry, backed with an extendable two-year warranty on all components and a 10-year warranty against rust and a similar warranty on fan blades and conveyor shafts.
The robust and user-friendly range of ovens is also designed for lower energy consumption, a fact demonstrated when XLT Ovens received a Domino’s Pizza, LLC, Partner Award for cost savings and exemplary service, says Mr Challinor.
“XLT’s global resources — including its new state-of-the-art 18000 sq m US headquarters and 250 service centres worldwide — are ideally complemented by the Australia-wide resources of J.L. Lennard as one of Australia’s longest-established and most respected food service companies.”
Features of the XLT range include:
Construction from high grade 304 stainless steel, rather than aluminized steel, allowing the use of more powerful cleaning chemicals to reduce cleaning time.
XLTs are constructed from stainless steel inside, outside, front, back, top, and bottom.
High-efficiency air jet finger design with geometrically spaced holes to create a platform for even cooking across the entire oven. Customer-specific adjustable jet fingers allow control of heat delivery.
The XLTs’ simple, consistent finger arrangement makes cleaning and reinstallation upper and lower fingers easy, without any tools required.
Hot air delivery by fan blades rather than a squirrel cage arrangement, reducing noise and cooking time (and providing a foil-friendly arrangement for operators cooking on foil).
Elimination of knobs used on typical conveyor belt systems. XLT’s two-hole system replaces knobs that are often adjusted too frequently by inexperienced employees, prematurely stretching the conveyor belts.
Digital microprocessor controlled bake time and temperature control coupled with high efficiency air impingement process to deliver consistent heat to the chamber. Front-loading sandwich window.
Conveyor shaft constructed of 304 grade stainless steel that has been ground and polished. This refinement extends the life of the ovens’ permanently lubricated bearings for trouble-free operation.
Conveyor direction is reversible.
Easy interior access without tools, and a convenient control box location on the side of the oven, improving accessibility while reducing the appliance’s overall footprint.
Simpler and cheaper installation via standard gas and electric lines without expensive circuitry or wiring.
XLT ovens are delivered ready for operation as soon as gas lines are connected and electricals plugged in.
Every oven has completed a four-hour factory burn-in, testing all components.
