DuPont announces Packaging Innovation Award winners

DuPont presented 16 awards at the 26th DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation, on Friday (16 May) in Wilmington, USA.

The awards recognise excellence in innovations in packaging, design, materials, technology, processes and service across the entire packaging value chain.

This year, the program received nearly 200 entries from 31 countries, marking the second-highest number of entries and broadest reach in the program’s 26-year history.

Amcor Flexibles has taken home a gold award for the Nestle Twin Pouch packaging, which was developed by Amcor Flexibles in conjunction with Nestlé for its MAGGI Stir Fry Creations product range.

Ralf K. Wunderlich, President of Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific, said “Amcor’s win at DuPont Awards is testament to Amcor’s deep commitment to innovation. We are always working closely with our customers to develop truly unique packaging solutions such as the Twin Pouch and to help them create a unique consumer and packaging experience.”

The stand-up Twin Pouch has two compartments co-joined with a centre perforation for easy tear.  A QR code on the reverse of the pack also adds to the consumer experience by connecting to a video demonstration of how to use the two step process and prepare the meal.
