Expo and awards night endeavour to emphasise manufacturing’s best

A week filled with all aspects of manufacturing is taking the industry to new levels as success and innovation are given the spotlight.

In a drive to showcase the thriving solutions, ideas and the future of manufacturing in Australia, an exhibition and awards night will be held in Melbourne from May 14 to 17.

The country’s most prestigious manufacturing awards night, the Endeavour Awards, and the National Manufacturing Week (NMW) expo are giving the industry and interested parties a chance to promote and celebrate success.

It’s a collaboration that will ensure companies and individuals are recognised in fields such as robotics and automation, the internet of things (IoT), energy solutions and lean manufacturing.

In an era where connectivity, efficiency, minimised downtime, quality, speed, accuracy and sustainability are more important than ever in a fast-moving world, innovations such as those showcased at these events, give an insight into the evolution of manufacturing in Australia and globally.

The Endeavour Awards 2019 will see industry leaders from all manufacturing sectors come together in May at the Arts Centre in Melbourne.

The annual event will have a huge presence of industry influencers to network with. Companies pushing the boundaries of innovation will be vying for the winning titles for this year’s categories – sponsored by Weld Australia, Bestech Australia, Vega, SEW Eurodrive, IBSA Manufacturing, Beckhoff Australia and B&R.

The categories are:

Best Industrial IoT Application,

Excellence in Manufacturing Skills Development,

Global Supply Chain Integration of the Year,

Most Innovative Manufacturing Company,

Outstanding Start-Up,

Safety Solution of the Year,

Australian Industrial Product of the Year,

Environmental Solution of the Year,

NMW will run over four days with a conference program and an extensive international and national exhibitor list.

More than 80 industry speakers will share key insights within two streams of the conference program – Industry 4.0 and Connected Manufacturing.

The program will open with remarks from Dr Jens Goennemann, managing director of AMGC, followed by a keynote from Australia’s chief scientist, Dr Alan Finkel.

The theme for this year’s expo, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, is influenced by the industrial evolution.
