FIA to host workshop on allergens in foods and drinks

The Food Industry Association (FIA) will be hosting a professional development workshop focusing on allergens in food and drink on 22 April at Crawley, WA.

The workshop topics will focus on new science, consumer trends and legislation and testing requirements.

According to the FIA, food allergies raises the debate of whether allergic reactions in people can be clearly traced to a single or a combination of substances in what people eat and drink, raises many issues for manufacturers, marketers and retailers of food and beverages.
