Fibre King opens new factory in Thailand

R.L.Windsor, the parent group of Australian packaging manufacturer, Fibre King has announced the expansion of their operations to include a new factory in Thailand.

The new factory will operate under Oryx Automation – Fibre King’s export brand, and is built over 3000m2 in the Rayong Province. The new Thai factory coupled with Fibre King’s 2400m2 Brisbane facility, will see staff numbers double and significantly increase the R.L. Windsor Group’s production capacity for its growing export market.

Suren Moodley, general manager of Fibre King and Oryx Automation who had overseen the Australian company’s transition to an international manufacturer, said that the changes have been challenging, but also highly rewarding.

"We've spent over 18 months establishing our operations and most importantly, finding the right people for Oryx Automation in Thailand. I continue to be impressed with the level of skill, devotion and industry shown by all our people, both in Asia and Australia," said Moodley.

Group CEO, Earle Roberts said that the addition of the new factory is placing the company in an excellent position to service its global client’s needs.

"The level of interest coming out of Asia and the Middle East, as well as the USA and Canada, has been overwhelming. Our manufacturing capability in Asia is now tested and proven, with recent successful installations at several Asian nutritional operations, so we're well placed to meet our global client's needs.”

“Our home-based market continues to be strong and remains under the care of the existing Fibre King team, devoted as ever to our 'No Excuses Service' mandate."
