Finalists for SA Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards

Food South Australia has revealed the finalists for the prestigious South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards.

This year, an impressive lineup of organisations and individuals representing the entire food value chain has been announced.

The finalists, spanning 18 award categories, represent a vibrant mix of both established and emerging businesses from both metropolitan and regional areas.

Notably, new categories have been introduced to highlight the contributions of agribusiness, industrial foodservice, and foodservice businesses.

Additionally, the Top 20 South Australian food and beverage producer brands competing for the coveted Foodland Consumer Choice Award have been unveiled. This award is unique as it is the only category determined by public vote.

CEO of Food South Australia, Tori Dixon-Whittle, said this year’s entries show exceptional quality.

“The judges faced tough decisions given the outstanding businesses, products and individuals represented, and we eagerly await the opportunity to celebrate their achievements at the Gala Dinner,” said Dixon-Whittle.

Dixon-Whittle emphasised that the importance of the awards cannot be understated.

“The awards program not only honours the finalists and winners, but also provides support, learning opportunities, and connections that enrich our industry, reinforcing the vital role it plays in our state,” said Dixon-Whittle.

The Awards are backed by the Government of South Australia through the Department of State Development.

The Premier of South Australia, Hon Peter Malinauskas, expressed his pride in the industry’s contributions.

“South Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing sector is globally renowned and plays a crucial role in our state’s economy. I am proud to support such a successful awards program which highlights quality, innovation and excellence within the industry, as well as its remarkable resilience during challenging times. I look forward to the announcement of winners on 22 November,” said Malinauskas.

For over 25 years, The South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards program has celebrated excellence in the state’s food and beverage manufacturing industry.

This year, the program has evolved to encourage participation from all industry contributors, and to address critical issues faced by businesses today.

Winners across all categories will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 22 November 2024.
