Posted by Rita Mu

Food and beverage manufacturer Fraser & Neave’s (F&N) has opened a $110 million canned milk factory in the Ayutthaya province of Thailand, about 70 kilometres north of Bangkok.

According to Singapore’s The Straits Times, the new plant will produce up to 3.5 million cans of sterilised and sweetened and condensed milk a day.

The Borneo Post reported that F&N was aiming to increase its market share in sweetened condensed milk in Thailand by at least 20 per cent to reach 60 per cent in the next five years.

The milk produced from the new Rojana factory will be sold in Thailand and exported to Australia, Cambodia, Laos and parts of the Middle East and Africa.
