Food Challenge Awards Nominations!

The Food Challenge Awards were established by Food Magazine in 2004 to recognise and reward best practice and innovation in food and beverage processing in Australia and New Zealand.

Now in its 7th year, the Food Challenge Awards has become a pivotal date on the food and beverage industry’s calendar; drawing together the great and the good, from newly launched boutique operations, to fully established international enterprises.

The 2011 Food Challenge Awards will be held on Wednesday 13th July 2011 at Doltone House overlooking Sydney Harbour, so mark it in your diary. We now invite you to enter your product for 2011 and prove you’re up for the challenge!

Building on the popularity of last year’s Awards, we have introduced four new categories for the 2011 event.

Food Safety & Innovation in Non-Food, which is being sponsored by HACCP Australia, has been added to the list in order for us to recognise and celebrate the importance that many non-food items serve in processing and handling products safely in the food chain – be that equipment, fit out, utensils, cleaning materials among many others.

With consumers increasingly turning away from products with complicated addictives and looking instead for simpler, more natural foods, we have introduced the Organic and All Natural catergory, which is being sponsored by Flavour Makers.

In order to appropriately award the creativity and innovation that goes into food and beverages packaging, this year we are introducing the Packaging Design award, which will be sponsored by Formrite.
