Food Manufacturing Industry Guide to Safety 2011/12 released

The new edition of the Food Manufacturing Industry Guide to Safety is released this month by Pro- Visual Publishing.

Produced in conjunction with the CSIRO and Australian Food Microbiology, the guide is able to deliver the most relevant safety and hygiene information to the industry.

The guide aims to increase safety awareness, thereby decreasing accident and injury rates among workers.

This year’s edition of the guide is filled with vital information for those involved in the food manufacturing industry.

Topics covered in the guide include approaches to food safety flow charts, controls for chemical contaminations, food poisoning and information on what to look for during an internal food safety audit.

The guide states that a strong food safety program relies on not only the critical eyes of external auditors, but also on the knowledgeable and informed eyes of internal auditors.

This is because an internal auditor knows where the real problems can occur and so can provide a cost effective and robust audit of food safety practices and procedures.

I would like to thank all of the sponsors for their support of the Food Manufacturing Industry Guide to Safety, who have made it possible for the guide to be distributed free of charge to the industry”, said John Hutchings, CEO, Pro- Visual Publishing.

Recipients of the guide are also provided with the opportunity to enter a competition in which the best entry wins a $5000 dollar holiday voucher! (See terms and conditions). Additional copies are available upon request.
