Founders Brewing Co launches new canned craft beers into Aussie market

The Australian distributor for Sierra Nevada and Weihenstephan, Phoenix Beers has announced the arrival of US craft beer brand, Founders Brewing Co’s latest offerings; canned All Day IPA and Centennial IPA to Australian shores.

According to Phoenix, both beers have already crafted solid reputations around the globe, overcoming the sigma that is generally attached to the humble beer can.

“Can technology has come a long way in the last decade” said Phoenix Beers national sales manager Todd Barac. “They now contain liners that ensure the beer never comes into contact with the metal and being a completely light proof vessel, the hoppier brews tend to fare extremely well in a can as there is no chance of light strike.”

All Day IPA is said to deliver strong US-hop character at 4.7 percent abv, while the Centennial IPA at 7.2 percent abv offers a ‘more traditional take’ on the American craft brewing style boasting floral and citrus aromatics, leading to a balance of sweet malts, US-hop character and an assertive, 65 IBU’s of bitterness.

Both beers will be available in 355ml cans nationally within the coming weeks.
