Four Australian spirits, out of eight finalists, have been recognised in the 2025 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).
The IWSC is a global competition that evaluates over 12,000 entries annually from more than 90 countries across wine, spirits, and other drink categories.
This year’s competition saw a total of 264 gins receive medals. The eight finalists in the World’s Best Gin category were all awarded gold medals, with a minimum score of 98 out of 100 required to earn a Gold Outstanding medal.
The four Australian gins that took home gold medals include:
- Australian Distilling Co.’s Navy Gin.
- Nine Circles Distillery’s Signature Gin.
- 30 Knots Spirits Sea Spray Gin.
- Turner Stillhouse’s Three Cuts Distiller’s Release Gin.
“We are thrilled to be included among the world’s best gins and proud to be recognised as Australia’s most awarded distillery,” said Australian Distilling Co. founder Michael Hickinbotham.
“This acknowledges the way we craft our uniquely Australian gins and is a testament to our focus on producing the very best spirits.”
The IWSC offers comprehensive business support through its network of experts, bringing communities together to share insights and help each other grow.
The final selection for World’s Best Gin will be revealed at the IWSC gala in London later in 2025.
