At an award ceremony in Amsterdam, GEA Group honoured fluidics specialist Bürkert Fluid Control Systems with its “Supplier of the Year Award” in the category “Innovation”.
DAX listed technology group GEA presents the award annually to a partner recognised for innovation. It reflects the long partnership between the two organisations and the work delivered by Bürkert, working with the group for more than two decades. Representatives from Bürkert attended the ceremony to accept the award.
“Something that was particularly highlighted was Bürkert’s strategic direction, which ideally complements GEA’s long-term goals and future plans”, said Denis Cougnet, Bürkert’s corporate key account manager for the GEA Group.
The award acknowledged Bürkert’s proactive cost optimisation initiatives in the area of total cost of ownership and the support provided to GEA in developing new applications, including the New Food test centres in the USA and Germany.
Both organisations focus on priorities such as innovation, efficiency and sustainability, which supports ongoing collaboration.
“Working closely with our customers and partners is at the heart of everything we do,” said Bürkert CSO Roman Gaida.
“Our strategic direction with a focus on digital services, automation, sustainability and a regenerative economy provides us with the right foundation for this. In these areas especially, we want to set new standards together with key customers like GEA.
“The Award shows that our strategic direction is keeping us on the right course. It confirms that we are consistently pursuing the goals we have set and successfully achieving them.”
Bürkert and GEA have a long-standing partnership in which Bürkert provides process and solenoid valves and tailored system solutions.
Along with product quality and delivery reliability, Bürkert has delivered results through its production capacity based on a “local for local” approach in China, India and the USA, and through its engineering capability in system solutions. Close collaboration within corporate key account management also supports GEA across global operations.
“We are delighted to receive this award: it underscores our innovative strength and our commitment to sustainable and partnership-based collaboration,” said Markus Bendisch, director of corporate key account management at Bürkert.
“This honour shows us the importance of consistently pursuing the path we have taken and continuing to provide solutions that help our customers make their processes more efficient and sustainable.”
