General Mills voted best workplace for women

General Mills was voted Best Workplace in Australia on Great Place To Work for women by creating an inclusive and empowering workspace.

“General Mills is incredibly proud to be named once again as one of Australia’s Best WorkplacesTM for Women in 2025 for our Australian Corporate Office in Victoria and our Manufacturing Facility in Rooty Hill, New South Wales,” managing director for ANZ, Karen Jenkins said.

“This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to create an inclusive and empowering workplace where women can be themselves and feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive in their careers, while also having fun.

Great Place to Work is an annual survey that companies can use to identify the best companies to work for around the world.

The 2025 list was determined through confidential employee feedback, a comprehensive analysis of women’s representation at all organisational levels, and insights from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency.

“General Mills Australia continues to invest in initiatives like mentorship, coaching and leadership training through our Women’s Leadership Network, while also recognising the unique challenges many women face in balancing career and family,” said Jenkins.

“Additional tangible benefits include parental leave coaching programs, a generous paid parental leave program, and a supportive environment that encourages a flexible work-life balance for all.

“Our much-loved on-site Australian head office school holiday program is popular with both parents and their children and practices like our Friday 1pm finish for all Australian sites further reinforce our commitment to flexibility.

“We want our people to recharge and focus on what matters most because they are at the heart of everything we do.

“Women play a critical role in driving our business forward every day and we will continue to champion women’s success in the years ahead.”
