Goodman Fielder MD killed in motorcycle accident

Andrew Hipperson, managing director of Goodman Fielder’s Australian business, has been killed in a motorcycle accident, south of Nowra in NSW.

The accident occurred on Saturday 18 January.

Goodman Fielder, a leading food manufacturer with brands including Meadow Fresh, Pampas, White Wings, Praise, Wonder White and Helga’s, issued a statement expressing its sadness over Hipperson’s sudden death.

“Andrew was a valued member of our Group Executive Team and successfully led our Australian operations for just over the past two years,” said Goodman Fielder CEO, Chris Delaney.

“In previous roles at Goodman Fielder, Andrew was the managing director of our Home Ingredients and Asia Pacific businesses. He was widely respected both within our company but also across our industry.

“Andrew will be deeply missed by all of us. We offer our deepest condolences to his wife and family and the thoughts and prayers of the entire company are with them at this very distressing time.”

The Australian business will report to Delaney until Hipperson’s replacement is named.
