Goodman Fielder to up NZ imports

Goodman Fielder is hoping to grow its Australian dairy business by importing more dairy products from New Zealand to increase their scale in Australia.

Goodman Fielder missed out last year on acquiring Dairy Farmers, which was sold for AU$910 million, and is not keen on future acquisition in Australia to grow their business.

The company is looking to take advantage of low-cost production and transport from New Zealand for products like yoghurt, cheese and long-life milk.
