Guidelines available for Modern Manufacturing Initiative funding

Guidelines have been made available for all six of the national manufacturing priority sectors, including food and beverage, for the Translation stream and Integration stream under the Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI).

Funding will be available under these two streams for projects in all six of the National Manufacturing Priority sectors:

  • Space
  • Medical products
  • Resource technology and critical minerals processing
  • Food and Beverage
  • Recycling and Clean energy
  • Defence.

If you have a project in any of these six sectors, funding will soon be available under the:

  • Manufacturing translation stream: which helps Australian manufacturers translate high quality research and ideas into commercial outcomes.
  • Manufacturing integration stream: which helps Australian manufacturers to access and propel their quality products and high value services into domestic and global supply chains.

Successful national manufacturing priority projects are eligible to receive funding of up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs. Guidelines are available and should be used in conjunction with the national manufacturing priority sector road maps.

Applications will open in two tranches on 13 and 17 December 2021.
