Guinness World Record doughnut wall raises awareness for Multiple Sclerosis

Donut King has partnered with MS Queensland during their Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Brissie to Bay charity ride to create the world’s largest doughnut wall.

The wall, located at Musgrave Park in Brisbane has smashed the previous Official Guinness World Record to draw attention to the battle against MS, a condition affecting over 33,300 Australians.

Donut King marketing manager, Raquel Hine said the company is thrilled to have partnered with MS Queensland.

“Breaking the world record is a fantastic achievement, but what’s even more special is the opportunity to support such a meaningful cause. We hope that the chance to experience the donut wall brought a little joy to all those who attended and that the funds raised will help make a difference in the lives of those living with MS,” said Hine.

The record-breaking doughnut wall was unveiled at MS Queensland’s MS Brissie to Bay event in Brisbane’s Musgrave Park on Sunday 9th June.

The impressive wall, stretching 13.2 meters wide and 3.74 meters high, was adorned with 5,040 of Donut King’s strawberry and chocolate glazed doughnuts.

The event not only endeavoured to break records but also aimed to help raise awareness and funds for those living with Multiple Sclerosis.

MS Queensland CEO, David Curd said the support from the community over the event has been “overwhelming.”

“This event not only sets a new World Record but also shines a spotlight on the challenges faced by those with Multiple Sclerosis.

The funds raised today will go a long way in providing vital services and support for people living with MS in Queensland,” said Curd.

The record was previously set in the United States in October 2022 with 3,000 doughnuts.
An official from Guinness World Records was there to witness and verify Donut King’s monumental achievement.
