Leading West Australian dairy, fruit juices and wine manufacturer, Harvey Fresh, has acquired juice processor Nugan Quality Foods, which will help make the most of the increased export demand.
There is currently a “booming export market” for Australian fruit and vegetable juices into South-East Asia, and Harvey Fresh is hoping to pull ahead of competition from new Zealand and South America with the acquisition of Nugan, a fruit and vegetable juice company which already exports to those markets.
Nugan began exporting juice products to Asia in the late eighties and had developed positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
In August last year, Harvey Fresjh signed a contract to supply Coles private label milk in Western Australia.
