From hospitality venues to industrial sites, Supagas is helping businesses stay warm, safe, and open for trade this winter – with flexible rental options, full-service maintenance, and a time-tested heater range, says Dominic Grayson, Supagas National Sales Manager.
For any business, the number one priority is staying open for trade. And to stay open and running, managing temperature in the colder months, or even on an unexpectedly frigid day, is key. No customer will go to a freezing café. Likewise, icy warehouses can significantly impede worker wellbeing and productivity.
As one of Australia’s leading LPG suppliers, Supagas has decades of experience helping businesses prepare for the colder months.
While Supagas’s primary goal is the provision of LPG and gas solutions, the company established long ago that businesses would benefit if Supagas kept a range of heaters on hand to rent flexibly to customers when the cold came calling.
“For us, it’s not just about warmth – it’s about keeping businesses open,” says Dominic Grayson. “If a heater breaks down, we’ve got the team and systems to step in fast. That’s the big differentiator for us at Supagas: we don’t just supply gas or rent out heaters, we do everything we can to keep customers operational when it matters most.”
Supagas’s full-service approach
Supagas’s heater solutions primarily serve two market segments: the hospitality sector – including pubs, cafes, restaurants and clubs – and the industrial sector, including warehouses and production facilities.
What sets Supagas apart isn’t just the range of heaters – it’s the support system behind them. Every heater rented comes backed by a dedicated maintenance program and a team of trained specialists ready to respond.
“Most customers don’t want to think about heater servicing – they just want it to work,” Grayson says. “We’ve built a system that makes that happen.”
Supagas maintains a national stock of heaters and supports them through full-time maintenance staff. Units are serviced in the off-season and prepped for deployment, with on-site repairs carried out where needed. Swapping components, replacing parts, and ensuring safety compliance are all part of the package – with no extra charge in most cases.
“Some companies supply heaters, but don’t have the resources to maintain them. We stay with the customer,” Grayson says. “Our goal is to keep heaters running and burning gas – not sitting idle.”
Tailored support
Grayson has worked across many locations and sales functions in his two decades at Supagas. That depth of experience informs his customer-first mindset.
“We tailor the solution to the customer,” he says. “A large venue might need dozens of units, different models, scheduled maintenance. A new café might just start with one or two patio heaters to test the water. We match the approach to the business. What all businesses have in common is the need to keep their outdoor areas open.
Supagas also offers flexible rental options. And for hospitality customers already using Supagas for beer or CO₂ gas, bundled deals make switching even easier.
“We want to be a one-stop shop,” Grayson says. “And if a customer calls last-minute because of a cold snap? We find a way. That’s the ‘Yes We Can’ mindset.”
He recalls personally loading heaters after hours and delivering them to venues on a Friday night – just to make sure they were ready for the weekend rush.
“It’s part of the job,” he says. “If we can help a customer keep their outdoor area open and increase foot traffic we will.”
Keeping Australian businesses warm – and running
With a heater range built for commercial use, backed by a responsive maintenance team and a proven rental model, Supagas leads the pack in commercial heating solutions.
As colder months approach, Grayson is clear about what makes the company different.
“Anyone can sell gas,” he says. “But not everyone can deliver the service and support that makes it truly work for the customer. That’s where we stand apart.”
