Tucker Fresh IGA Kinross in Western Australia has taken home three awards at the IGA National Retail Excellence Awards hosted by Metcash.
The Kinross store has clinched the IGA National Retailer of the Year Award, the IGA National Large Store of the Year Award and the IGA National Large Grocery and GM Department of the Year Award at the ceremony held on the Gold Coast.
Head of Operation and Executive Partner, Poojan Shah, said on acceptance of the awards, that the people involved in the store make Tucker Fresh what it is today.
“An organisation is only as good as its people, and our people are truly the best – they make Tucker Fresh what it is today. We are immensely proud of everyone that’s part of Tucker Fresh, we love them, and this award is for them all,” said Shah.
“Metcash have been fantastic in supporting us, the care they have for us retailers and their desire for us to be competitive in the market has helped us get where we are today. “
The IGA Retail Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding achievements across the IGA network, recognising stores that excel in areas such as customer service, community involvement, and overall store performance.
Tucker Fresh IGA Kinross stood out among numerous contenders, demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to retail excellence.
“Two years ago – we set out on a journey to be the leading independent supermarket group in Western Australia. One of our key goals set was to win an Independent Grocery Award, and we’re extremely proud to be able to have reached that milestone in record time,” said general manager, Garth Brown.
