Importer seeks quality food products

Higher disposable incomes among the Chinese urban middle class and a growing expatriate community in some major cities have led to increasing calls for high-quality non-Asian foods.

A Shanghai-based French importer and distributor is looking for a range of imported baby food and quality portioned fruit jam and honey for clients including premium supermarkets, airlines and upmarket hotels.

The company has connections to a large number of premium foreign-owned super- and hyper-markets, leading Western restaurants and clubs, and quality hotels in China.

The distributor is initially looking for company profiles, product specifications and pricing information from interested Australian businesses, after which product samples may be requested.
