Jungheinrich has announced the Asia Pacific launch of AntOn by Jungheinrich, a new value focused material handling brand aimed at businesses seeking straightforward and cost effective equipment for food and beverage operations. Australia will play a central role in the regional rollout.
The initial AntOn portfolio includes 2.0 tonne, 2.5 tonne, 3.0 tonne and 3.5 tonne lithium ion forklift trucks, along with the PTL 1.5 lithium ion pallet truck. The range is expected to expand over time.
According to Jungheinrich, sustainability programs and fleet modernisation initiatives across the region are supporting a shift towards electrified material handling equipment. Demand for lithium ion solutions continues to grow as operators seek to balance performance, efficiency and total cost of ownership.
The AntOn range includes CBH 2.0, CBM 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 electric forklifts with load capacities ranging from 2,000 kg to 3,500 kg, travel speeds of up to 17 km per hour and lithium ion batteries designed for rapid charging and extended operation. The PTL 1.5 pallet truck offers a 1,500 kg load capacity and an additional battery slot to support continuous use.
Growth in the Asia Pacific material handling value segment is being driven by industrialisation, logistics expansion and construction activity across India and Southeast Asia, alongside changes in regional supply chains including Australia.
While China remains a high volume market with steady growth, faster expansion is occurring across Australia, India and Southeast Asia as manufacturing relocation, warehousing demand and infrastructure investment reshape logistics requirements.
In Australia, growth in logistics, warehousing and infrastructure is contributing to increased demand for cost effective material handling equipment. Rising operating costs and ESG expectations are also supporting the transition from internal combustion forklifts to electric alternatives, with lithium ion technology increasingly adopted.
“The AntOn by Jungheinrich brand is a new product line combining ease of use, reliability and cost-effectiveness,” said Nadine Despineux, member of the board of management, sales at Jungheinrich.
“We are specifically targeting companies that are looking for cost-effective and straightforward solutions for typical warehouse and transport requirements.”
Following its European debut, AntOn by Jungheinrich is now available across Asia Pacific through e commerce, direct sales and selected distributors.
“With more than 70 years of material handling expertise, Jungheinrich delivers end-to-end solutions supported by an established parts and service network across Asia-Pacific,” said Manojit Acharya, vice president, Jungheinrich APAC.
“AntOn by Jungheinrich extends our offering to customers for whom reliability, simplicity, and value matter most, delivering cost-effective solutions that get the job done.
“To extend this value beyond our current sales channels, we are inviting distributors to join the AntOn by Jungheinrich partner network, supported by strong regional parts availability, dedicated distributor management, and best-in-class partner relationship tools.”
