Kellogg, the iconic cereal and snack brand in Australia and New Zealand, has been recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) in Australia.
Kellogg was one of only 120 companies in Australia to receive the citation, which is testament to the ongoing commitment of the organisation to create an equal workplace for all employees.
Kellogg’s Australia has been investing in a strong pipeline of female talent and developing future female leaders. In 2021, 46 per cent of new hires were female – an improvement from 43 per cent in 2020.
“I’m delighted Kellogg’s has been acknowledged as one of the best employers in Australia for our commitment, dedication and the action we have taken to accomplish gender equality,” Kellogg’s Australia and New Zealand managing director Anthony Holme said.
“This includes our achievement in addressing the gender pay gap. We have made strong progress and are proud to be a leading change maker.”
Each year, WGEA accepts applications from employers who are raising the stakes in driving change and creating the circumstances for everyone to thrive, regardless of gender.
“Critically, organisations like Kellogg’s are delivering on a formula that sees better support structures in place for working families; stronger actions to address pay inequalities; and strategic recruitment and promotion practices that help to encourage the full participation of women at work,” WGEA director Mary Wooldridge said.

The EOCGE citation is the WGEA’s leading practice recognition program. The citation aims to promote and improve gender equality for women and men, while acknowledging the historically disadvantaged position of women in the workplace. A voluntary program, this citation is open to all compliant employers covered under the WGEA Act.
