Kraft Heinz opens new digital hub in America

The Kraft Heinz Company has opened a new digital hub as part of the Evolv group.

The group will create digitally powered business models and launch other entrepreneurial ideas to fuel growth for Kraft Heinz.

As part of this new group, Kraft Heinz has established and is rapidly growing tech and entrepreneurial teams in San Francisco and Chicago.

In San Francisco, there will be a team of software engineers, data scientists, product managers, designers, and members of its eCommerce team.

Kraft Heinz jumpstarted its digital hub through the acquisition of wellio, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) food tech company based in San Francisco.

Global Digital Online Growth president Nina Barton said in wellio, the Kraft Heinz found extraordinary talent that could fuel its digital ambitions and an AI platform that can help create food related solutions for its consumers.

“We wanted to take a holistic look at digital disruption and growth. This is part of a larger growth approach for Kraft Heinz and is in addition to our recently announced $100 million venture fund, Evolv Ventures,” said Barton.

The Kraft Heinz Company’s brands include Kraft, Heinz, ABC, Capri Sun, Classico, Jell-O, Kool-Aid, Lunchables, Oscar Mayer, Philadelphia, Planters and Plasmon.
