Inspired by a trip to Morocco in 2008, husband and wife team David Burns and Elly Meltzer fell in love with blending peach iced tea and icy local beer.
The idea of blending the two flavours became a reality upon their return to Australia when they established the Kwencher Clingstone Peach and Darjeeling Tea, produced in Geelong, VIC.
The flavours are all natural and preservative-free and are dosed into the brew prior to bottling.
The Kwencher Clingstone Peach and Darjeeling Tea has been applauded by experts and awarded medals at the 2012 Asia Beer Awards and the 2012 Australian International Beer Awards.
New Kwencher Pale Ale was released this year and has also picked up a swag of accolades – including being judged the best pale ale in Australasia at the 2013 Asia Beer Awards by a panel of international experts.
