LARGO’s Clean Lager named Australia’s Best Light Style Lager at 2024 World Beer Awards

LARGO’s Clean Lager, the Australian easy drinking lager has been named the Country Winner for Light Lager at the 2024 World Beer Awards.

This prestigious accolade marks a significant milestone for LARGO, which has set out to disrupt the light lager category with its unique blend of sustainability initiatives and classic Australian brewing.

LARGO, spearheaded by Oli and Louis from the popular band Lime Cordiale, is Australia’s first beer to be accredited by Climate Active, a government body that certifies products that have undergone a process to reduce or offset some of its carbon emissions.

The win at the World Beer Awards highlights LARGO’s commitment to quality and innovation in the brewing industry.

Light Lager, as defined by style rather than alcohol by volume (ABV), is a well-established category that LARGO is redefining with its eco-conscious  credentials and modern, creative-driven appeal.

“We are incredibly proud to have LARGO recognised on the global stage,” said Oli and Louis, co-founders of LARGO.

“Winning the Country Winner award for Light Lager is a testament to our dedication to creating a beer that not only tastes great but also aligns with our commitment to striving for sustainability. We’re thrilled to bring new energy to this category.”

LARGO’s success at the World Beer Awards is expected to drive further interest in the brand, both within Australia and internationally.

While the LARGO Clean Lager 4.2 per cent ABC won the award for Australia’s best Light Lager at the 2024 World Beer Awards, LARGO also has The Dawdler, a 3.4 per cent ABV Low Carb variant in its portfolio, further appealing to a wider audience of beer drinkers.
