Le Bon Choix sets up in Brisbane’s Brendale

French patisserie Le Bon Choix is set to relocate its bakery and warehousing operations to Brendale, in Brisbane’s north-west, following a deal negotiated by JLL’s Industrial team.

The 10-year lease at Leitchs Road in Brendale is in a brand new, speculative development in the industrial hub suburb.

“The 1,379sqm building more than doubles their current facility in Geebung, where the business will relocate from,” JLL’s Ben Jeffries said.

The lease was finalised at circa $120/sqm net.

“The new warehouse development in Brendale was of great appeal to Le Bon Choix, as it represented a similar location for them, but provided more efficiencies within the bakery,” said Jeffries.

He said the business would also be fitting-out a small café to cater to the local industrial precinct.

“The lease by Le Bon Choix continues the trend of users moving into Brisbane’s northern suburbs from older industrial areas like Geebung, to take up these speculatively developed properties,” said Nick.

“Despite the favourable buying environment, options to purchase are increasingly limited and as such we have seen strong demand and take-up for leasing since the start of the year.

“Brendale has gone from strength to strength in recent years and the brand new, high quality speculative stocking coming out of the ground presents very attractive alternatives to older style options in the more traditional inner-north industrial suburbs.”
