Limited edition Cascade Draught released for 200th celebration

The limited-edition commemorative Cascade Draught 375mL cans, featuring the slogan Standing proud for 200 years are now available until the end of the year to celebrate their 200th anniversary.

Politicians, brewery workers, and business representatives gathered at Cascade Brewery to commemorate two centuries of endurance, innovation, and Tasmanian spirit.

The celebration featured flowing Pale Ale, live music, a birthday cake, and a toast to 200 years of standing proud.

To mark the occasion, Cascade is offering a free beer to the first 200 people at select pubs on the first Friday of each month throughout 2024.

Among the 150 guests were Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff and Deputy Lord Mayor of Hobart Dr. Zelinda Sherlock, who both spoke about Cascade’s journey from a humble sawmill to becoming Australia’s oldest brewery and a Tasmanian icon.

Asahi Beverages Group CEO Amanda Sellers highlighted the contributions of all those who have supported Cascade over the years.

“This remarkable anniversary would not be possible without all those who have made Cascade one of Australia’s most enduring brands and today’s event was a unique opportunity to celebrate them.

“From our customers and drinkers to our partners and suppliers, employees and the broader Hobart community – we thank you for your loyal support,” said Sellers.

Later this year, Cascade will also reveal a new beer for both Tasmania and the mainland, with further announcements to follow.
