What the company says
Originally only available throughout the United States and Canada, a limited amount of Maker’s 46 will hit Australian shores in August, just in time for Father’s Day.

A collaborative effort between Bill Jr., Maker’s Mark Master Distiller Kevin Smith, and Barrel Maker and “Wood Chef” Brad Boswell, the creation of Maker’s 46 was no easy task, taking more than a year to get right. In 2010, Boswell tried a technique that had never before been used to make a bourbon; he added 10 French oak staves to fully matured Maker’s Mark straight from the barrel and then allowed to the liquid to age further. The result was a slightly bolder, spicier interpretation of the much loved classic handcrafted bourbon. The name Maker’s 46 comes from the profile number Boswell assigned to this winning “wood recipe”.

Featuring a big, mouth-watering oaky finish, Maker’s 46 still manages to retain the essence of its predecessor – there’s no bitter bite often found in older whiskies, even at 94 proof. One taste and Dad will be a true believer.

Maker’s 46 is currently available at all good liquor stores for RRP $80.
