Matthews’ new corporate website helps technology selection

Matthews Intelligent Identification has launched a new coding and labelling website.

Phil Biggs, Matthews’ national sales and marketing manager, said the new site was designed to help businesses:

• better choose a technology for their individual needs,
• gain greater understanding of industry best practices, and
• see how integrated coding and labelling can actually improve their overall business.

“We’ve designed our new website from the users’ view point. Some business owners and plant managers know a bit, or even a lot, about what type of technology they want. Others don’t. Whichever camp you fall into, you can look at Matthews’ new site and quite easily see the various options available to meet your needs.”

Phil said one of the reasons that the site could quickly give businesses information, was the ability to search for coding and labelling solutions by application, industry type or coding technology.

“For instance, when you browse our solution pages ‘by technology’, you’ll find an explanation of each technology type and its strengths, to guide you on choosing which is the most suitable for your needs. Or, if you look ‘by industry’, you can see an outline of the most commonly used technologies for industries from bakery to wire cabling. Then browsing ‘by application’ lets you look at a wide range of applications for primary, secondary and tertiary coding and labelling needs.

“Another interactive tool we’ve added on the new site is a ‘Technology Selector’ which leads you through five simple questions to help identify the best coding technologies suitable for your application. This greatly helps to reduce the time involved in finding a solution during the information gathering stage of a web search. I really like this feature, we’ve road tested it, and it’s always recommended the correct technologies!”

Phil said the new website also had a resource library, replete with industry white papers, case studies, videos and product datasheets.

“We’re always adding to this library, updating it to cover more and different types of applications, industries and technologies. The white papers have come from our extensive industry experience; clients have found they’re a great way to learn from our expertise, in a time that suits them. The two white papers uploaded so far are on Packaging Code Management solutions, looking at the business benefits it can deliver, plus creating compliant SSCC pallet labels.”

The site also explains Matthews’ software and integration capabilities, consumables and technical support.
