The portable GE Panametrics PT878T is a non-contact liquid flow meter using transit time principle. This instrument comes equipped with a thickness gauge and two sets of transducers, one 12.5 mm to 50 mm and the second, 50 mm to 600 mm in diameter. The clamping fixtures enable the measurement of flow rates and volume in pipes with temperatures ranging from -20ºC to 210ºC.
This Panametrics flow meter is a lightweight and easy to use instrument that effectively measures through multiple materials including plastic, metal, or concrete-lined pipes. The PT878T can measure the flow of liquids ranging from pure water to extremely dirty materials including raw sewage and slurries. This unit includes a USB port and the display comprises of a large LCD screen that produces easy to read trend data in alphanumeric and graphical formats.
A built-in data logger in the flow meter can store over 100,000 data points and accuracy is typically 1-2%. The measurable flow velocity range is 0.03 to 12.2 m/s and readings for velocity, volumetric, energy, and totalised flow are all available.
This instrument can be applied to the measurement of potable water and wastewater, cooling and heating water, ultrapure water and liquids, crude oil, diesel and fuel oils, lubricating oils, water/glycol solutions, refined hydrocarbons, chemicals, beverages, and other liquids.
