Moët Hennessy is announcing the launch of its award-winning Tequila, Volcan De Mi Tierra, in Australia.
Volcan is among one of a small number of tequilas with its own distillery, which sits at the base of the volcano and is home to a distinctive distilling process that marries history and tradition with innovation.
Created in 2017, Volcan de Mi Tierra was born from a strong entrepreneurial partnership, combining the Gallardo family’s passion for its homeland and deep roots in Mexico, together with Moët Hennessy’s commitment to craftmanship and luxury branding.

Volcan De Mi Tierra is made from 100 per cent Blue Agave with no additives and is built on an assemblage, selecting the very best agave from two regions of Jalisco, Lowlands and Highlands, to reach a complex and elegant liquid. Across 12 submissions to international spirits competitions, the expressions have been awarded in each and every contest.
“Over the last five years, we have been in test, learn and grow mode, working to expand our capabilities and capacity at Volcan’s very own distillery,” said Santiago Cortina Gallardo.

Two of the expressions launching in Australia – Blanco and Cristalino – are inspired by the mantra of 100 per cent Heart.
Representing the deep sense of community, passion and commitment that surrounds the brand. The mantra is an appreciation for the heart, care and craftsmanship that is applied to each step of the process, from the field to the bottle.
• Volcan De Mi Tierra Blanco delivers a unique blend from agave terroirs, unveiling the herbal and spicy aromas from the Lowlands, with the fruity and floral notes from the Highlands. Best enjoyed in the Volcan signature serve, the La Valoma – the Volcan take on the Paloma, a refreshing highball style cocktail with zesty notes of pink grapefruit, beautifully elevated with volcanic black lava salt.
• Volcan De Mi Tierra Cristalino is an añejo tequila, aged for months with different cask finishes; after extracting wood color by natural filtration, Volcan Cristalino offers a clear liquid yet with an incredible depth and a fusion of aromas: dried fruits, chocolate, vanilla and cooked agave flavors, best enjoyed neat or over ice.
